Sycamore Inn has a rich history dating back to the 1800s. Marilyn Monroe is said to have dined there weeks before she died. While I didn't dine at the restaurant this time, the bar area seemed like a great place to hang out with the local regulars and friendly bartenders. They have a daily happy hour starting at 4:30 pm. Expect to pay $10 or so for a cocktail for the "prime time deal." They have some discounted items on food, but it seems the pro-move would be going with a steak or prime rib considering it is a steakhouse. I ordered the prime rib sandwich au jus. I am a fan of French dip sandwich and if you are too, order this sandwich. At $20, it's not a cheap sandwich, but the higher quality was evident compared to Phillipe's in Downtown LA. The minestrone soup has been on the menu for decades with the recipe from one of the original chefs, so that might be another option on the menu for something lighter. They also have a French onion soup, if that is more your thing. The Sycamore Inn is an awesome place to stop by if passing Rancho Cucamonga for cocktails and bite at one of the oldest restaurants in Los Angeles County. It's also an opportunity to chat with friendly locals. The service from the team was warm, attentive, and friendly. Not at all stuffy or pretentious. Come as you are.

My two sisters and I had a reservation for the lounge & were seated right away by very friendly staff. We each ordered prime rib & they were cooked to perfection. It was served with delicious mashed potatoes & creamed spinach. I have had creamed spinach before & it was not as good as this one. We finished up with a delicious dessert and had quite a nice time. I would highly recommend this place for an enjoyable meal and atmosphere.

It's our go too... we love coming here... staff is phenomenal... food never fails ...only thing I do wish is that their old fashions would be a 1 big ice cube .. besides that 10/10

The food is always great here. The appetizers are delicious. We got the roasted garlic, which is amazing. The fried avocados are melt in your mouth good, and of course the bacon wrapped Cajun shrimp so delicious! The artichokes are also good. For dinner we got the lamb. And it's always so delicious. They have great cocktails. This place is been around for quite some time so the building is really fun to add filled with lots of history. The service is generally pretty great. I've been here so many times it's definitely one of my local favorite spots. I definitely recommend making reservations. Happy hours a great time to go.

Had a great dinner at Sycamore Inn, our server and his partner were both very nice and attentive, the food was hit and miss. The food was served extremely slow, but it was to be exacted during the holiday season. My major disappointment was that they did not make the soufflé during the month of December because they are too busy in the kitchen and the soufflé takes forever to bake. We ordered the French Onion soup, its one of my favorites and it was delicious. The filet mignon was a little dry but the prime rib was just right! The meat was tender and tasted amazing. The mashed potatoes were good and the creamed corn was really good. We ended the night with the Sycamore Special to share, and you can never go wrong with ice cream. Over all a great dinner and I would definitely come back.

Invited by a dear friends, I revisited Sycamore Inn after more than a decade. Thanks to our friend's reservation, we were promptly seated on a Saturday night before it got busy. Opting for the NY steak cooked medium, I found the meal to be quite satisfying. The flavors were good, and the steak was prepared just as I had requested. While it had been some time since my last visit, the quality of the food certainly left a positive impression. What truly made the evening special was the opportunity to reconnect with friends in the cozy ambiance of Sycamore Inn. Although it had been years since I dined there, the warmth of the place and the wonderful company made it a memorable experience. I look forward to returning In the near future and exploring more of their menu. My Personal Rating : 4 Food 4.2/5 Staff 4.1/5 Price 3.9/5 Ambiance 3.8/5 Cleanliness 4/5
